Whaling History

Hard To Port is proud and excited to announce our upcoming educational project: “Whaling History”. This project will take you on a deep dive into the past of the whaling industry. You will learn how the whaling industry became so efficient, greedy, and destructive that it brought some of the most fascinating marine species on the planet to the brink of extinction.

Our “Whaling History” project is going to share eye-opening facts about whaling, as well as personal accounts and stories from the heyday of commercial whaling in the 19th and 20th century. We will also highlight and remember international conservation efforts and the people and organizations behind them who made it their mission to prevent that these animals would disappear forever.
