About Us
Hard To Port is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to marine conservation, headquartered in Northern Germany.
The organisation was founded in 2014 following a successful occupation of an Icelandic whaling ship in the Old Harbour of Iceland’s capital Reykjavík. Ever since Hard To Port has developed into one of Northern Europe’s most committed and impactful advocacy groups for whales and other marine wildlife.

Our Mission
The members of Hard To Port e.V. are passionate and determined in their commitment to protecting marine life. With compassion and dedication, we stand up against the threats facing our planet’s blue foundation. Our many years of experience in marine conservation have shown that lasting change requires creativity, perseverance, and focused action. Through investigative research, peaceful protest, awareness campaigns, education, and restoration projects, we strive to create real, tangible change — and we invite everyone to join us in this mission.
Our Vision
We envision a world in which our societies adopt a more compassionate, respectful, and appreciative mindset towards marine life: a mindset that leads to responsible, resolute and constructive conservation actions that will help to protect and conserve our blue planet.
